Since 2000, Diamond Castle's team has been associated with investments in the energy and power sector representing over $1 billion of invested capital, in segments that include traditional power generation, oil and gas services, and alternative energy.

Mike Ranger serves as Diamond Castle's Operating Partner in the energy and power sector. Mr. Ranger has more than 25 years of experience in the utility and power industry as a private equity investor and investment banker, most recently as Co-Chairman of DLJ Global Energy Partners and prior to that as Head of DLJ's Global Power investment banking group.

Catamount Energy Corporation Acquisition of the unregulated wind power generation subsidiary of Central Vermont Public Service, Vermont's largest electric utility. We intend to grow the company's large backlog of wind power projects in the U.S. and UK and expand through acquisitions of additional projects or companies.

TXU Energy Company $750 million investment in preferred stock with warrants in an unregulated power generation subsidiary of TXU Corp., a major, publicly-traded global energy company with total assets in excess of $30 billion.
American Ref-Fuel Company $1.6 billion leveraged buyout of one of the largest waste-to-energy companies in the United States.
